Great Start to 2012

I know it has been a while since I have posted! And I apologize about that! But I have just been so darn busy! Why have I been busy you might ask!? Well...you see...there's this boy! And I try to spend my free time with him! And with me working full time, Tony working full time and going to school...sometimes I feel like I hardly see him (which is totally not true, I honestly see him quite often).

Let's be honest, when Tony and I spend time with each other, it's usually spent over a good meal and a movie, or talking about who knows what! But I don't care what we are doing, I love every second spent with Tony Bolony! :) He is such an extraordinary person! He truly is unlike any guy I have dated before! I have never been treated better in my life (other than by my father and brother...and even with Kyle its debatable..haha.JK). Honestly I could go on and on about how amazing he is! But I figure it might be a little mushy!

So needless to say this last month has been aaaaammmmaaaazing! I haven't been this happy in a really long time and I owe it all to Tony!

Tony discovered this amazing waffle place in downtown Salt Lake which we have gone to a couple times now! It is sooooooo good! I have never had waffles as good as these! (I actually think I blogged about them before!)  Well a couple weeks ago after both of us decided we needed to go back for more waffles, we decided to take a trip to SLC. We got waffles (both with whipped cream and raspberries), hot chocolate, coke zero, and had a picnic in his car (that is kind of our thing)!!! After inhaling our waffles (because pretty sure we didn't even breathe during the process), we jimmy rigged Tony's iPhone as to where we could both see it without holding it up, and we watched a very interesting documentary about Facebook called "Catfish". It's quite interesting! I would suggest watching it!

It was such a fun little date!

Saturday the amazing Tony took me to the JAZZ GAME!!!!! He is so good to me! Although we were in the upper bowl our seats were at half court and they were really awesome! We got popcorn and a drink and cheered the Jazz to a victory!

I'm pretty sure I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have a guy like Tony!

Isn't he so good looking!?
I certainly think so!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!
Can you believe that is it 2012?
Well I surely cannot! I cannot believe how quickly 2011 came and went! So much happened in the last year that it is hard to believe that it is already over! But I am extremely excited to see what this new year will bring! Everyone keeps telling me "This is your year!" (whatever that means) But I really do hope that this is "my year!" (Again...whatever that means!)

So what did everyone do to bring in the new year?
Most of the time I keep it low key, with close friends and family.  But this year was completely different! And different in an absolutely fabulous way! Well I've recently started dating someone!! *applause applause* He is an awesome guy! And I am really enjoying the time I am spending with him! I cannot wait to see how things go, and I am really hoping that things continue to go well! *Fingers crossed*

Well Tony spends Christmas and New Years in Vegas with his brother and his family! And he invited me to come spend New Years in Vegas! Well of course I was a little nervous, but the more we talked about it the more I got excited, and by the time we were on our way I couldn't wait to get there!!! Needless to say the weekend was amazing!!!  We had such a great time! Laughing, shopping, eating, laughing, hanging out, and enjoying Vegas and all that it has to offer! The highlight of the trip was Tony taking me to see "The Phantom of the Opera" Friday night! OH MY GOSH THE SHOW WAS AMAZING!  I've seen it before but not in Vegas! And it was sooooo good! Tony is too good to me and got us 2nd row seats to the show! So we were right in the action! I couldn't believe it!

Unfortunately we didn't take a ton of pictures this weekend but here are some that we did take! Thanks again Tony for such a great weekend! You are great! :)

The Garden at the Bellagio was still decorated for Christmas! So awesome!

Chocolate Fountain! YUM!!!

Vegas' Eiffel Tower

Brunch at "Hash House A Go Go"

Biggest quesadilla in the world? Quite possibly!

No big deal I started with $10.  The Venetian didn't know what hit them!
I took Tony to get gelato with my $27.20.

New Year's Eve instead of taking on the chaos and insanity of the Vegas strip we decide to keep it low key.  We found a spot where we could see the whole strip so we could watch the fireworks.  So we had a Del Taco picnic, played battleship on our iPhones (which I dominated), chit-chatted, and drank Martinelli's sparkling cider and enjoyed an awesome firework show!

It really was such a fun night! Even though it was really low key, it was spent with great company! And I really couldn't have asked for a better night!

Before we headed out of town on Sunday, Tony took me to see the Vegas temple!
It was beautiful! Just like every temple!

It was such a great weekend! I had so much fun! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!
I hope everyone had as good of weekend as I did!

Another Testament of Jesus Christ

"And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."
-Moroni 10:5

As many of you know I put out a challenge for you and myself to finish the Book of Mormon by December 31st.  Well I will admit, I didn't finish by the 31st...BUUUUUT I can say that I finished reading the Book of Mormon January 1, 2012!!!!! And might I add that it feels so good to be able to say that I have read the entire Book of Mormon!

I hate to say that it had taken me 23 years to completely read cover to cover, but now that I have I can say 100% that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ!

As I read the scripture that I put at the start of this post, I had an overwhelming feeling come over me, that what I was reading was true! I cannot deny what I have felt by reading this book! It has strengthened the testimony I already have of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  It has strengthened my testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith who restored the gospel, and who translated the Book of Mormon.  I am so grateful for him, and all of the trials and tribulations he went through so that I would be able to have the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.

It definitely wasn't easy to finish, but I am so glad that I pushed myself to finally finish it! For those of you who took the challenge, I hope you have gained a stronger testimony of the amazing book that the Book of Mormon is.  I hope that by reading it, it has strengthened your testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Because I know that it has strengthened mine.

I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Everyday I am reminded of the truthfulness of it, and how grateful I am for that! I am grateful for those daily reminders that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me, and loves me, and wants me to succeed and be happy! How amazing is that! To know that there is a divine being who is aware of you!

I haven't always had such a strong and firm testimony of this gospel.  But that is the great thing about it, no matter who I have been, or who I am today, as long as I am striving to be the best person I can be, and doing those things that have been asked of me, I will be blessed.  Nobody is perfect! And that is a beautiful thing.  And it's ok that we aren't perfect, because we have a savior Jesus Christ who has taken on our sins and shortcomings, our flaws and weaknesses, so that we can return to our Heavenly Father! How great it is to have a knowledge of that! And oh  the peace it brings to me!
